about

Designer Laura Heitz

Laura Heitz is a lifelong Chicagoan and attended Loyola University Chicago, majoring in Mass Communications. Before opening her business, she worked for 25 years in the corporate world, holding a variety of management level marketing and public relations positions, most notably the Walt Disney Company, Gloria Jean's Gourmet Coffees, Urban Retail Properties and the Mills Corporation. She feels that every one of those experiences was invaluable in preparing her for entrepreneurship.

In 2006 she followed her life-long passion for decorating, went back to school to become a Certified Interior Refiner, and founded Right Now Redesign. Laura's One Day Redesigns (really hours) show homeowners how to fall in love with their home all over again.

Laura is an active member of the Interior Refiners Network and the Portage Park Neighborhood Association. She also mentors high school students in the art of goal-setting at a suburban school.

She lives in Chicago's Portage Park neighborhood with her husband, Gary.
